I know these sound like baby tricks... PERFORM!!! But they mean so much to me.
He's understanding what we tell him and may or may not do what we ask.
Like, don't put your hand in that poopy diaper!
Leon has become an absconder. I've taken that term from my sister, who had labeled one of her kids as such. It's quite appropriate.
absconded past participle, past tense of ab·scond (Verb)
Verb
- Leave hurriedly and secretly, typically to avoid detection or arrest.
- (of someone on bail) Fail to surrender oneself for custody at the appointed time.
He can open our front door and the screen door. He has miserable depth perception so the front steps totally confound him and he'll fall to his death if we let him go much further. We lock our door all the time now, much to the dismay of family members who might not have a house key on them...
Last night while I was trying to wind him down for bed time, he lifted my shirt and tickled me on the belly and laughed and laughed! I wasn't laughing... (or at least I was trying hard not to) Then he did raspberries to the pillow for about 5 minutes, wiping the drool off his chin every few seconds.
But those blown kisses that he flings to me make my day!

It's moments like this that make being a grandparent oh so worth it.
lol He sounds like quite the charmer!
Cute! My daughter before she was two would be outside at 6 am, playing in the yard. We figured out that the door did not lock, so she just had to tug on it. Scary!
He sounds just perfect!
