The girls got crafty last night. They made stencils and will be spray painting these shirts as soon as the rain lets up. What do you think?
My hubby was gone most of last week and then part of the weekend. Part due to a church convention, where he was a delegate and then partly because he had to play computer games and kill bad guys with his high school buddies. And yes, that is exactly what my dear son (when he was 7) told people at church one week when Robb was gone...
I do NOT like being a single parent. There I've said it!
In some ways, it's ok... I mean, we can eat fish sticks whenever we want...
Or if a kid is in the process of overhauling her bedroom and she can't make it to her bed, she can sleep with me!
She did not learn how to organize from me...
But getting everyone up and moving in the mornings gets to be a little overwhelming alone. Dogs have to go out various doors and then fed. Kids have to have a wake up call at various times, and woe to them if I have to act as a snooze! Oh and then they need to be fed. Luckily the girls are old enough to make their own breakfast, but Leon needs to get up and moving too. He's a little more tricky than the girls, because he'll need to sit on my hip.
I made homemade french toast sticks for him for breakfast on Saturday. He acted like he knew what to do with the syrup! Found out he'd had them at daycare on Friday too...
He is loving the new daycare! When I take him, he goes immediately to the breakfast table and pulls up a chair and prays for his breakfast. Too cute! He doesn't even mind if I kiss his head and leave. He's doing great there.
We have noticed that he HAS to have his dinner on a plate now. The high chair tray is NOT acceptible anymore. Plastic plates are ok... But the Taekwondo belt that has held him in since babyhood has been banished. He did it himself!
Leon came home the first day from daycare and at dinner when he saw the belt hanging out the back of the high chair, threw a fit and yanked it out. As if, "How DARE you think I'm a baby!!!" And he sits in it just fine now without it! A.mazing... If you hold the tray part up, he'll even climb into it himself. Big boy!
I did some sewing over the weekend! Found a pattern that I could make the plaid shirt into for Maddy. Worked on that last night and hopefully can work on it over lunch today.
Leftover Chinese food for lunch! yum.
Sorry my mind is rambling around...
Have a great Monday!

Just wait till he pulls the high chair up to the table by himself. My granddaughter does this already and it's her signal that she's ready to eat ;o)
He's getting so big! I love when they pray over their food. Such sweetness. You sound like you're doing great at being a single parent for a little while. Keep it up!
Leon sounds like such a sweet little guy. I sometimes have to do the single parent thing too. Not always fun! lol
Leon is sure growing up. How dare our grands grow up?!
He is super cute and grown! Now all you have to do is teach him to mow.
