Flooded with Memories

I am a member of a group on Facebook, called something like "If you grew up in XXXXX, you remember...."  I am really liking it.  The group went from a mere 10 members up to over 750+.  I joined just over a year ago but lately it's been growing by about 50 per week!  Amazing...

It's also amazing how many of these members only remember where the hopping bars used to be...  Were everyone else from this city only boozers??

A girl I used to work with in a nursing home kitchen.

Met (online) a girl that I must have gone to elementary school with.  She had a grade school picture, but of a teacher that I didn't have.  She knew my childhood neighbor, whom I'm friends with too and they started a conversation.

Found the sister of a boy that said he was going to punch my lights out when I annoyed him while crushing pretty hard in 5th grade...  She thought that was funny!

Found the friend of a boy that I used to work with who remembered me from this little grocery store.  I only remembered his name, but the boy that I used to work with, used to count my chews...

Of course you're wondering what that is!  I would be eating a candy bar or something while we sat and waited for customers to come in or if the old guy that owned the store was in the back room.  Every time I swallowed, he'd say something like "22" or "14", but I didn't pick up on what he was doing for a while.  I just figured he had issues...  Turned out he was counting how many chews I did before I swallowed.  Wow, was THAT annoying!

We dated once years later, but I scared him away by talking constantly about a guy that had dumped me the week before on my birthday...

So, if you WANT to scare someone away...  that'll do it!  Talk about an old boyfriend!

Oh well.  Through this site, I found him too, but unless he asks me to friend him, I won't.

Throughout life, you find people that you just don't have to ever talk to again!  Robb's rule on FB is, "If you can't stand two hours traveling with them in the car, don't bother friending them on FB."  He denies ever saying that but I remember.  My memory isn't that far gone!

And with this FB page, the memories are coming back with a flood!

Den is very picky who he is friends with on FB. He just plays games and mostly leaves it at that.
Do you think I could chase Den off by talking about an ex-boyfriend? He gets on my nerves. LOL

I have reconnected, on FB, with some people I grew up with and thus far it has been positive. BTW, glad to hear about your daughter's photo!
