You'd never guess it, but I did. My legs and feet are screaming at me today as this is the first chance I've had to sit down much for the last couple days. I did sit and watch about 30 minutes at two different times of Les Mis. I think that movie was misnamed. It should be More Mis or even Ever Mis. I'm not done with it yet but need before Maddy leaves... She's taking it with her.
Ok. Weekend run down. HANG ON!
Friday night - cleaned house, made unleavened pizzas (totally by accident...). A friend of Meri's was over and may never come back due to that pizza crust...
Saturday - Enjoyed breakfast with BIL, SIL and nieces and nephew. Went to the dump. went grocery shopping with Robb, ate leftover unleavened pizza for lunch, spent the afternoon cooking chicken for some various things for my parents. My dad is going in for knee surgery soon and I'm wanting to stock their freezer. Not sure how much I can get done this week, but we'll see.
I sewed that afternoon! Pulled some old pillows out of my closet,
cut off about 4 inches off the ends and made two pillows for Maddy to
grace her futon with in her dorm.
What do you think?
One of the nieces and her boyfriend stopped by the house and I picked on him sufficiently I guess. They all tried out Meri's moped that she can only drive in the cemetary because she's not old enough to drive it yet. It's a good reminder of what could happen...
Boyfriend didn't have an opinion of Robb, but thought I was funny...? We find this out later from said niece.
I have no idea what I said...
Spent part of the evening with the girls and Les Mis. WOW there's a wee bit of raunch in that! The girls made me cover my eyes and I covered Leon's.
Sunday - made wassles, I mean waffles, as that's on Maddy's food list that she wants to get in before she leaves. Meri had something else. She hates those! I have a "from scratch" recipe that I've made ever since we got married. LOVE that one! Made a double batch so my BIL & SIL could eat with us. They were moving their girls into their new apartment this weekend. Went to church, came home to two BILs and two SILs, but the same nieces and nephew. Robb had smoked a pork loin Saturday and we served it BBQ style with buns and also with sweet corn and pasta salad.
That afternoon, Maddy and Meri got organized. While Leon hid in her big bins, in an effort to be a stowaway for college, the girls got together everything she'd tucked here and there in preparation for dorm life. In the process, we came up with a huge list of things that she and I will need to pick up tonight. Now I know why women traveled with several trunks back in the day... Maddy would need six.
Also, that afternoon, Robb made a peach cobbler and we took it out to my besties house for a treat. It was her husband's birthday on Saturday so Robb had made him a smoked Bacon Explosion thingy. We also gave him Part 2 of the movie Atlas Shrugged. He's a fan! I just hate how they changed 99% of the characters between the first part and the second. But oh well. I'll follow the story line instead. It'll be a while before the 3rd part is done.
That night, we made Maddy her last BIG meal. We had blackberry crumble, leftover sides from lunch and then pork with the apple/mustard sauce. I was wrong that she'd wanted bavarian pork, it was actually this. But how was I supposed to know when she wrote on her list, pork with apple stuff?... Then we watched another 30 minutes or so of Les Mis until Leon needed to go to bed.
I need two more days then I think I could go to work for one day, then be off for another 4.
Yeah... that would be nice...

Wow. That made me tired just reading it all! You need to come on by my house and use some of that energy on my sewing room. ;)
Agree with Southern Gal!
But on a brighter note, Labor day is only 14 days away ;o)
You are all around wonderful! And a bit crazy. I guess you would have to be to tackle so much!!!
