My office is looking like it's nice again...
Maddy is going to be home next weekend!!! Only one of her friends will be able to come along, but I'm still making 3 dresses. We'll skype tonight and get the measurements.
In my nearly endless sorting, I found a heart shaped button that I used to wear at college on an old grandfather type coat that I used to wear that says "My *heart* belongs to Rob". Sure they spelled his name wrong, but the sentiment is the same. I stuck it on my wall above my monitor.
The garage dogs are driving me crazy. I hope they find a new home SOON.
I found a neck-tie that Ryan used to wear as a little boy. It needs to be cleaned. How do you wash neck ties? Oh, it's a clip-on. It has Taz, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck on it. cute... but dirty. I was thinking that Leon could wear it sometime... But now that I look at it, it'd probably hang to his knees right now. Maybe I'll wait...
I've got a box of BOY toys in my office for when Leon comes out here while I'm perusing my fabric stash. He loves my office and *helped* me a little over the weekend while I finished up some sorting. Then I took him in to his Daddy and got some real work done.
A friend from Robb's work gave us some leftover carpet and I cut it up to cover the walk way to my office so I can come out here barefoot if I want to. I hate the cold cement on unshoed feet... However I better get some backing on it somehow. Maybe the spray kind. When the dogs whip around a corner, it flies all catty wampus.
I was moving some sewing machines & supplies this morning in the dining room and dropped something on the floor. I immediately got a text from my son, who is sleeping in the bedroom immediately below the dining room. "I'm AWAKE!" Sometimes I'll stomp on the floor while calling him in order to wake him up... It works! But this was totally an accident! Yeah, I apologized to my kid. I guess people in the dining room truly sound like elephants in the room underneath.... oops.
I wish I had a sewing room, but that can wait....
Oh! Meri's Leaf project! She missed one point for mislabeling a leaf.
NOW we know where that Slippery Elm label should have gone!!! BUT she got 3 extra points for creativity! She ended up with 52 out of 50 points! A++!!! but no hug from the principal. I was disappointed in that, but so happy for her and her grade!
Interesting week ahead of us.
I'm going to get ON with the day!! Enjoy yours!

Go ahead and wash the tie. The worst thing that could happen is it is ruined. Oh forget that, have it dry cleaned. Yes it will cost but oh the memories!
That leaf project deserved a hug from the principal!
LOL I beat on the wall to get DJ's attention.
