A Halloween Care Package

Got the idea off Pinterest.  DUH!  

 

Lame compared to theirs...  But who has time to be creative or perfect anymore?

 

I drew the pictures and Meri wrapped the mummies.  The pinterest link had the little googly eyes, but we didn't have any.  I improvised.

Underneath the Hershey bar mummies are a few bags of candy, propped up with newspaper because 3 bags apparently wasn't enough to fill the box...  All the candy is layered in spider webbing.

And I do NOT have a good white pencil...  I went over my pencil drawing with a silver colored pencil and that seemed to do the trick.  I almost left it in pencil... 

 Being an art minor for one semester paid off!  Or at least gave me the courage to try it...

 Anyway, if you feel like spooking someone far away, this was fun!  I tracked her package and texted her when I saw that it arrived on campus.  The campus post office there isn't always the speediest in sorting them out, so I told her to pester them.  She probably didn't...  

Didn't get MUCH done on the vest last night.  Had a few other crises to beat down first.  I DID measure her with it last night.  Looking good!  Just need to sew this sucker together!   I also found three zippers I need.  Those poor jeans...  and jacket that I sometimes wore, but decided this project took a higher priority.

We've got to keep our priorities straight!
