Tidbits and bats

Here is my sewing project.  I thought I knew what kind of fabric, but I believe I'm wrong.  I thought it was washed silk, but I think it's some kind of brushed cotton.  Very subtle shine to it.  pretty!

Anyway, I won't be telling you what I'm making until next week.  But, let's just say it involves THIS.

and THIS.

I'm secretive that way...  and duct tape fixes everything. no?

I actually got 30 minutes in to sew this morning!  Robb took Meri and Leon off to school and daycare and I didn't have to corral any kids after 7:15!  So after dishes, which I forced myself to do, I dug into the dining room table and found the bits that I'm working on.  IF I don't have to run someone to work over lunch, I might get a little more in then.  We'll see.

Have I said how much I "unlove" the garage dogs?  They've wet just about everything that they can, twisted cords in knots as much as they can.  They've shredded all they can get to, torn open anything on the way to the door as well as dumped a can of purple paint on the carpet.  Totally incorrigible...  There needs to be a decision made soon about them, or I will lose my mind.

Too late??...

Anyway, back to happier things.  I got an invitation to a bridal shower for a new niece to be!  Unfortunately it's several hours away on a weekend that I'm going to be booked.  SO, help me think of something creative to either buy or make for her for the shower and something for the wedding.  They're getting married at Christmas-time.

Back to work.  Have a great day!  And I'm just going to whisper this so you don't get too excited yet,
*it's almost the weekend!!!*

I'll have to think about a shower gift. Glad you had a little time to yourself to sew a bit!

I think a Christmas-y decoration for the house would be a good shower gift.
And I would love to add our cat to your garage. UGH.
