Oh, there's more where this came from!!! We're in Iowa. Of course there is! Just don't know when yet. Got this and a nice layer of ice underneath last night. And due to this a lot of foolishness went on last night as well... I won't get into this here, but it will involve a lawyer I'm sure.
Last night, we cleaned house and made pizza crusts in preparation for tonight. There are 3 round ones and a deep dish crust precooked and ready for toppings. We're expecting our twin nieces and their boyfriends for dinner. We haven't met one of them yet, so we're pre-screening for their dad.
Now where did I put that "So you want to date my daughter" application?? Might have to change a few "daughter"s to "niece"...

Apparently the boys will be going to Thanksgiving with them and meeting the folks! Eh, if he doesn't break up with her after meeting us, then maybe he's a keeper!
It's happened... Not with this niece but with a cousin. His girlfriend actually broke up with him on the way home from our house! It wasn't actually our fault, but we made a point to not meet his fiance a few years later until the wedding reception.
Got our first and probably only Thanksgiving Day card in the mail yesterday! Our life insurance guy likes us... AND our first of many Christmas card!! The sender of which is really ambitious...
And here I am wondering if we have anything to write about for a Christmas letter??
Who am I kidding!?

Twin nieces must have been fun to dress up when they were little.

Good luck with the pre-screening! lol
I'll bet he avoided you like the plague after that! Have fun and don't scare him off. ;)
Ha! I bet your cousin purposely kept his wife hidden away.
Lining a jacket will be a cinch for you--you are way better at sewing than I am, particularly with fussy details and difficult fabrics.
How did I know hubby was a keeper? He was able to tolerate my family.
Hope whatever happen that a lawyer might get involved turns out for the better for you.
I can almost smell the yummy crusts from here.
And I did laugh over the girlfriend breaking up with him after meeting all of you. I thought my family was bad. Ok I'm sure it wasn't you-it was all her fault.
And honey, I hope you don't need a lawyer. That would be terrible. Maybe you should just get a hitman instead.
