Advice on how to wear your stockings.

Meri MADE her annual ugly Christmas sweater this year rather than purchasing one! 

Get a load of this thing..   

 

The back is even more special!

She got lots of comments on it from friends and complete strangers.  I think they were just after her candy canes though.  After the concert last night, I saw a few boys sticking their hands down her stocking and grabbing out candy canes!  The horror!!!  She only had about 40 candy canes in it.  

I told her not to let boys into her stockings anymore.  She said ok.

When she gets to high school next year, she'll have to wear a uniform for band and robe for choir, so this won't work for the Christmas concert then.  She thought about it and will wear each of her ugly sweaters in the days leading up to Christmas break.  One per day adding a new one each year.

 

Meri had a duet with another girl during one song.  I'm not sure if the microphone was on.  Good thing we were in the 2nd row and not too far away.

My computer and camera are acting extremely slow this morning so I won't upload the video today.  But Maddy, they're all on my computer if you want to watch them over Christmas!

 

The concert was great, even though they switched things up and did the choirs first. Leon usually falls asleep during the band performance, so he was awake the entire time...  I got a lot of parental visiting in with the families sitting around me.  I'm like that...  The kid that stayed in Taekwondo after Meri and I left JUST got his 2nd degree black belt!!  That could have been Meri too!  Oh well, she got close enough.

She would have been able to defend herself better against those boys had she stayed in...  But then again, why put candy canes in your stockings if you don't want people to grab them out?
