Random Tidings

Christmas music has been on non-stop.  Got Scooby Doo Christmas videos on in the car whenever I go anywhere with Leon.  Christmas lights twinkling every time I walk into the house.

I seriously think I could live like this year round.

But my husband is here to keep me balanced.  He is a grinch if you play the Christmas music off season, but loves it during the month of December.

Trying to think of something to show at the ASG Style show coming up.  I have to get my entry in!  The only things I've made require either Maddy to be here, which she won't be... or Meri to wear dreadlocks, which she won't wear anymore...  Well, MAYBE she might!  I don't even have Maddy's Emma/Pride & Prejudice/Jane Austin dress here to just walk down the runway holding it on a hanger...  Maybe I can borrow it this weekend from her!

hmm..  Duct tape Maddy might get her modeling debut!!...

Got plans for a Christmas dress for Meri.  But where will we find the time?!  Maybe Sunday afternoon is a good time to get it started...  I also need to finish sewing those gifts for Maddy's friends and they need to be ready before Saturday.

Meri has her ideas set for an ugly Christmas sweater for next weeks middle school concert and it WILL be UG.LY!!  Or cute in an ugly sort of way...  We'll do pictures as it's being made.

We've got our annual cookie baking party out at my bestie's on Saturday morning too!  The truffles fillings are ready and waiting...  I might freeze them into little balls before the day so they'll be easier to roll in the chocolate.

Christmas party at Robb's co-workers on Friday.

If only I had 40 more hours to the day!

Leon has been meeting us in the hallway at 5am or 2, if he thinks of it...  We hear a cry, then a thump and then there he is!  The other morning around 3am, he came running into our bedroom and slammed the door to wake us up.  The little darling...

My sister brought us a toddler bed at Thanksgiving but we haven't had a chance to put it up yet.  Not like he really needs it desperately right now, since he has decided he's an acrobat...  Some people freak out when they see him climb out of his crib.  I just see a gymnast in the making.

It's a half empty, half full kind of thing.

Well, that's enough randomness for one day.  I'm feeling like a half cooked hamburger with too much mustard on it, that's been dragged through a muddy yard and then stomped on.  I had part of that line for supper.  Meri and I have been feeling like crud lately so she's home from school this morning and we're both going to go get checked out by our favorite country doctor.  If it's strep, she'll stay home the rest of the day and her confirmation class will be cancelled tonight.  If it's not strep, then the poor dear will be delivered to school with an Ibuprofen and told to suck it up.

Have a great Wednesday!  May the crud stay far away from you.

I would very much like to go to your besties and make truffles or just eat the filling while you both make them. Yes, that is a better plan.
