Maddy came home by dinner time on Friday, then we all sat around, snuggled and talked and enjoyed Leon showing off how he can ride her bouncy horse. We're pretty sure he's going to attend Rodeo clown college because he's already doing trick riding...
Since we don't live college hours, we went to bed at our normal time and she spent the rest of her evening watching tv in Meri's room.
Here are a couple things that I made for her LAST weekend and sent off in her care package.
Early Saturday, Maddy and I tackled our list of things I wanted to do with her, which ended up with just breakfast and a garbage run... We also hit the store briefly for a few things before we went to pick up Meri.
Poor Meri! She had gone to a birthday party sleepover so she didn't get
to see her until the next day for just a couple hours before Maddy had
to leave.
Oh, we discovered that the car problem that Meri and I experienced the other day is not a good sign... Possible transmission issues... So we sent her back to college in Robb's car again! So much for swapping cars... This just means more visits or trips!!! yay!
Like the Cardinal I found outside my window on Friday? Does that mean Winter or Spring?? Can't wait to try roast groundhog next week...
Maddy had to leave by noon so she could visit one of her highschool buds at another college, then high tail it back to Minnesota. A blizzard was scheduled to start at exactly 9am on Sunday morning. I think it was right on time. It hit here 10 minutes early yesterday.
On Saturday, Meri had a piano clinic. It was at a nursing home nearby and Leon got to play with the resident dogs before we had to go into the chapel where it was held. They have a beautiful baby grand in there!
I caught a few pics of Leon and his daddy just before it started, then went across the room to videotape her playing The Tempest. She did a great job!
Then she got a critiqued. And I am LOVING the look the clinician is giving Meri!! Not sure exactly what advice she was giving her, but everything Meri said about it was that she had done well...
Body language can apparently be misleading!
Then back to the house to stay warm. Oh guess what??? I got to sew a LITTLE on Sunday! I'll show you tomorrow.
Gotta dash! Stay warm out there folks!
What's the phrase? Cold hands, warm heart. Cold nose, just like a puppies!

OH no transmission problems! I wish you lived closer-we know a guy! Now say that with a Chicago/gangster accent. That's how we say "we know a guy" around here. Bet ya didn't know that!
You have such a wonderful and packed full of things to do life!!!
Transmission problems are one of the worst! Glad you sent her back without that car.
Blizzard? Oh NO!!! I love snow but not blizzards. Stay warm!
Oh my...car woes. Praying that it's not too expensive.
So glad that you got in some girl time with both girls. Time goes by so quickly doesn't it?
Stay warm and safe in that weather my friend.
Big Hugs
Leann
