As the mind wanders

To me, today is Friday.  I'm taking tomorrow off, except for the 1st couple hours I have to cover the phones for work, and then Meri and I will do girly things.  Finishing up the day by getting the house even more ready for a PARTAY!  

I can't believe Leon is going to be 2 years old on Saturday!

Let me just say, he's started the terrible twos a week early.

I broke up as much ice as I could yesterday and the driveway is MUCH better.  Of course, the big snow that is expected today will probably be rain or sleet and would have melted all this anyway...  but oh well.  

Yesterday, Ryan put together the big gift for Leon.  He's getting a Radio Flyer Little Red Wagon!  SSH!

My sister went into the hospital on Friday and had her gallbladder removed.  Yeah!  What a way to spend Valentine's Day!!  After some complications, she finally got to go home on Tuesday night.  It's been interesting and entertaining to see some of her messages to her sisters via a private FB chat.  I think she's still on lots of meds...  However her husband and littles are SO glad to have her home, even if it's to mock them from her spot on the couch.  And I only know that she mocks them because she posts it all on FB publicly.

When I was fairly young and my folks would have an argument, another sister, younger than me would cry and cry.  She'd sob and cry that Mom and Dad are going to get a divorce and it's all HER fault!  You know... what can you say to a kid like that?  So we just patted her on the back and said, "Yeah...  you're right..."

Meri has been looking for a confirmation dress for me to make for her.  She's got a few months before the day, so we'll be making a few dresses to try out.  If any of the sample dresses is a winner, we'll make it in a white fabric and then she'll have several new dresses for the spring!  Here are a few picks.  What do you like?
