Too much going on these days... But after the end of the month, things should slow down a little. Wait... I just haven't started writing things in that month's calendar yet...
The kids are still doing the bedroom shuffle and things that they can't live without are stacked in my upstairs hallways. I've seen clothes come into my laundry room that I haven't seen in a LONG time. A few of them I think "I" was accused of accidentally giving away or throwing away once upon a time. It's amazing what can drop behind a bed!
I spent 15 minutes yesterday over lunch serging up some seams for the bodice on the new dress. Ten minutes of that was changing the thread to white rather than black. And I tested it on the peach fabric and the white isn't that bad. I don't think we'll need peach thread for the edges there. I do have peach thread for the skirt seams though. Nothing more embarrassing for a sewist, than seeing different thread on the side seams. Kind of obvious for a dressy outfit...
If it was a funky item like this, it's no big deal!
I love Katwise's stuff on Etsy! They inspire me. Not enough to buy them from her, but to make something like that myself. Not that I have, but it gets my creative juices flowing. Looks like she's only selling tutorials these days and arm warmers.
It is Wednesday!!! Meri and I have a meeting with a high school adviser this afternoon to plan out her high school career. Wish me luck!

Wow I popped over to Katwise ~ I do love it ~ would have once been my style a few years back.
I would have flounced around in those dresses with me wee Russian terrier tucked under me arm and my little ponies a prancing nearby while I picked flowers in the garden with the fairies :)))) Ah the lovely whimsy of it all .
Good luck planning out high school!
