I didn't feel like a model today... Had to work a couple hours late yesterday and today has been a rush so far. Looks like another busy one!
*yay*
So my table volunteered to be my model!
This is the top that I made a pattern from. It is a huge oversized comfy top and I can wear it year round as it's a very light weight knit. You just ruche up the sleeves to your elbows and you're good to go! It's my go to shirt when I don't want to look completely slobbed out but want to look somewhat decent.

The first attempt is a top that I didn't have enough fabric to replicate the pattern entirely, so I pulled in the sides a little and went with it. Wore it most of the day on Sunday after church. It itches at the neckline, so I may rework that... And it's nothing fancy, just a basic tee.
I DID find out that you should NOT back stitch when using a double needle! It pulled the needle apart! I found some crazy glue and glued it back together. It held!!! It's my only double needle in the house at this time. That will be remedied soon. And I used some Stitch Witch (I think) on the hems. (the original packaging wasn't there) Worked so slick! No puckers anywhere! I don't know how it will wash yet...
With my second attempt, I tried to be creative. Didn't have enough of the thin purple (from a thin purple knit skirt that no one wanted to wear), but found a slightly heavier purple knit for the sleeves in my stash. I made the bottom of the shirt be narrower so it's a little more slim at the hips. Not sure if it's going to hang right yet with the bat sleeves... I still need to do the hems and neckline, but that might be my project for the 4th of July. We'll see.

Does it need a contrasting pocket? Or would that just be TOO much?
Anyway, here is the proof that I have NOT given up on sewing! I just don't feel like following a detailed pattern at the moment and am just getting my feet wet again before jumping all the way back in. I need to get some things made that are fair quality and have a month to do it!!!

Your feet look just lovely wet ~ and I am sure anything you sew is better than "fair" :))
I may sew a button on today. Yeah, I can compete.
