I miss SNL (Saturday Night Live) from the 70s and 80s...
It could be because those were my formative years...
Or it could be because this guy was young & funny then...
But I think mainly because of the humor of this awesome chick! And I love that this funny lady was happily married to Gene Wilder! Two of my favorite actors. I miss her.
Just this morning, I found myself quoting her.
As I was getting Leon up and dressed this morning, I happened to mention that we were going to the State fair this weekend and his eyes lit up like Christmas morning. He was so excited!!! He talked about the animals he'd see. And we are GOING to see horses. Lots and lots of them, because Leon said so.
That's when I realized that the only reason he's letting me get him dressed is because he thinks it's going to happen today. uh oh.... It's a little hard to go back to the mundane day to day schedules when you've got the Fair on your mind!
Unfortunately I couldn't find a Rosanna Rosannadana clip that I could post... But her other characters were always a hoot! Bandaids for those mosquito bites! LOL!
But like I said, It's ALWAYS somethin...

I used to watch SNL "back in the day". LOL...meaning when I could stay up late. I don't think it is the same anymore.
HAPPY FEET!! :) :) Those were iconic years and it makes me glad I'm as old as I am and got to stay up and watch SNL.
You are SO right. SNL from the 70s and 80s was WAY better than now.
