Random thoughts

So, as I'm dressing Leon in the dark this morning....
He doesn't like to realize that he's awake yet and doesn't fight me then...
Today is the first cool day so I put him in long light weight tan pants and a button up plaid shirt.
      He asks, "Going church?"  :)

On the way out to daycare, he's grumpy.
I suggest that we sing.          No.
I suggest many different songs.  No.
The only thing that perks him up a little is when I point out a school bus or the blown out remains of a tire on the side of the high way.

I've never seen the movie Zombieland in it's entirety.  Since we're between seasons in our tv shows and I needed something to watch during lunch yesterday, I started watching it.  Very funny.  I especially liked the Bill Murray cameo.  Any regrets?  Garfield. :)

Maddy's t-shirt rug is still in progress.  See Maddy?!  I haven't forgotten it!  Two weekends ago, when we moved her into her dorm, I ripped out a lot of seams.  I should have done all of them.  Since the sewing machine tends to make it buckle and ripple, I'm sewing it by hand.  I can get one row of the braided t-shirt fabric on in a day when I'm relaxing at lunch time.  It'll be done by the time she graduates.  or maybe Christmas.

My dad letting Ryan nap on him, way back in 1991.

Yesterday I didn't see Meri's face at all.  She left on her moped before I came downstairs and got home after dark and I was already upstairs with Leon.  She had been home for supper briefly while I was out visiting my bestie, so I missed her.  She's in the marching band and they practice early some days AND she's in the fall play and they have their practices at night.

Oh!  I fixed her moped by hunting down the internet for troubleshooting techniques and I turned a screw a little to the right and voila!  The thing stays on now!!!  The idle was set too low and I think we also had a bad batch of gas in there with a little moisture.  Robb took care of the moisture bit and I did the carburetor trick.  I'll never get that lucky again.

Football game tonight and we get to see the marching band at half time!!  Woohoo!!!  Can't wait to see my baby march in a muddy football field!

Maybe it will dry off.

I love hearing about Leon's little personality. Makes me want a little one around. That photo of your Dad is priceless!!!!

Have fun at the football game - that's another thing that I miss.

Happy Friday!

Dressing Leon in the dark? My mama should have learned that trick with me!

Long pants? Still in the 90's here with humidity in the same range so no long pants yet!

I hope it dries out for the football game!
