3 Weddings and I'm sure a funeral in there somewhere...

We got there early and got to visit with lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles all sitting around us.  Whispering loudly to get the grooms family all on the correct side, because faux pas !!!

Robb had sat next to an air conditioner vent and was cool for a while until the bride's side filled up.  He said, "Who knew the bride's family was so hot?!"

The wedding was very nice!  The bride and groom are seen here pouring different colored sand into a frame with their pictures in it to symbolize their lives becoming one.
She spilled some.. Oops! :)

Family photos afterwards.  My parents with their kids and the grandchildren in this shot.  Not everyone either.  I think it takes a funeral for something like that, but then you're missing someone anyway...  Because someone is dead.

You can see a little of my dress in this one. back row on the left.  I look very busty and pudgy...  yuck.  It was so humid and warm when I got dressed that I pulled my hair back in a ponytail and immediately forgot about it until photo time...  Too late then!  At the reception, I'd procured a few more safety pins and hid out in the bathroom making it wardrobe malfunction proof.  Then the sad dress just looked tortured on me.  When will I learn not to start important projects only a week ahead of time!  And not get delusions of grandeur that it'll turn out awesome?!!!  I'll show it to you in full tomorrow on a hanger.  It looks best that way.

The little girl in front center with the flowery dress and ringlet curls came up to me while other photos were being taken and said mournfully, "I lost my brother..."

"Where is he?" I asked.  She has 3!

She looked at me as if I was stupid and said flatly, "He just got married..."

lol.  "Oh honey, that doesn't mean you've lost a brother, that means you've gained a sister!"

She looked even more sad, if that was possible.  She has 3 sisters also.
I went on to say, "I mean, a sister that you like!"

Lily is a glass half empty kind of personality at this age.

Outside the church, everyone blew bubbles into their faces or the faces of people standing downwind.

At the reception, we sat with a bunch of nephews/nieces & a spouse and told embarrassing stories about them when they were littles.  They probably won't want to sit with us at the next wedding in late August...

Ryan, Jen and Meri

My sister and her hubs gave a little speech about the happy couple.  So sweet!  Apparently at age 3, Jordan didn't think there were any good girls left.  I'm so glad he found one after all.

Here is my dad with the youngest great grandchild, Annika.  Her hair is cRAZy!!!  Love it!

The dancing started off with a specially prepared dance by the newlyweds!  It was so fun.  Plus he flipped her over his shoulder.  Impressive...  Later when he danced with his mother, I videotaped it hoping he'd do the same thing to her.  My camera battery died before they were done dancing and no such luck with the flipping.  I kept waiting for the groom and favorite aunt dance, but no such luck with that either.
I think she left early.

My nephew, Daniel, was the best man and gave a fantastical speech that wasn't really about the couple much at all, but mostly about himself.  Hilarious!!!  He should really hire himself out for weddings... ;)

There was a craft table for the kids to keep busy at and lots of Do Not Disturb signs were made.  I don't know if any of them were sent with the couple on their honeymoon.  I know that Nick did not let them have this one.

Anyway, they're married!  Woohoo!  We've got two more weddings in August so I'd better get cracking now on a new outfit for myself.  I was thinking of doing a make over on this one, because I need to for the state fair anyway.  But then one of the weddings is the weekend that the dress needs to go to the fair, so that's out.  Plus I don't want to ever work with sea foam green fabric ever again.  But you know I will...
