History in the making...
Enjoying every Halloween with my fam at Living History Farms!
We HAVE to get the obligatory costume shot in front of their sign...
Waiting in line for the thing to start.
Then trick or treating at each old fashioned building in the place. Leon is counting on his fingers.
Meri had to get her annual cemetery photo. Same tombstone as last year!
Making our way around to all the buildings lent to many photo opportunities.
I love this one!
The hay rack ride.
Since we were in the first 20 to walk into the farms, the line for the ride
was short but as the ride made it's way to the end of the ride, we noticed that the line had filled up. We'd gotten there in the nick of time!
Leon played Ring the Pumpkin and didn't understand the instructions that you're only supposed to throw one ring at a time and threw all three at once. He GOT one!
THEN the storyteller barn! This was always my kids favorite part and it yet again enthralled Leon.
One of the story tellers was the same as all the other years when we'd gone and she told a new one. It was a bit different than the others she'd told in the past... "Johnny Tingle, why don't you take off your wet shoes?" "Johnny Tingle, why don't you take off your wet shirt?"
I whispered to Meri, "Just what kind of a story IS this?" She cracked up and whispered it down the row.
With every additional request of Johnny Tingle's wet clothing, the back row was jiggling with silent laughter. I don't know where the story tellers get their stories, but that one was maybe a little TOO much... It made it's point tho and little Johnny Tingle never neglected his chores again.
Leon and Ryan played hide and shriek behind the barn on the walk back to the cars.
What a fun evening! After that, since we had three cars there, we all went our separate ways.
Did you do anything spooky this weekend?

Leon's "The Flash" Halloween costume is TRUTH in ADVERTISING, ain't it? lolz
Looks like the adults were just as engrossed in the story as Leon was :) I spent the weekend stuffing my face with pizza and chips so it would be really SCARY to step on the scales right about now. So I won't!
No spookiness for us. So sweet to see Leon enjoying the stories so much.
