Oh I forgot!!! Saturday morning was our Sunday school program practice. We went through it twice and the second time through, Leon had had enough... And so had I... He was misbehaving something fierce and laying on his stomach in front of his chair... I had to go swat him on the bottom to get his attention in front of all the rest of the kids and stood him up. He wasn't happy. BUT it got the attention of two other kids who were acting up and just the simple up motion with my index finger was all it took for them to stand up straight! :) I'm the MEAN Sunday School teacher... And I think they were afraid of me swatting them too!
So Sunday morning right after Leon and the rest of the kids had done the program and I was trying to get my composure back because Leon had completely forgotten that he was supposed to behave that morning... the girls and I left Leon with Grandpa Robb and we headed off to my home town to have Christmas with my parents and family.
It was so good to get together with everyone and there were so many things to eat! So many....
The book that I'd been working on for the past two months did NOT get printed in time and so there was no big gift for Mom and Dad, but they didn't care. They just loved to get a few of their kids under one roof, even if it's at the nursing home.
Meri and I got our baby fixes with Annika and Norah. What cuties!
I had bought some hats from a lady at church who had crocheted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle hats and sewn Hello Kitty hats as well as some fleece ones. The kids loved them!
These two did some fighting and tried to throw their TMNT hats into the chandelier... No luck! Whew!
We had to leave around 4 and stopped to see one sister who had to work. I took in a plate of Christmas cookies and handed them out to all her co-workers at the cell phone store. You'ld be amazed how many people come running when you say you've giving away Christmas crack.
She took a break a short wait later and we visited with her over her lunch/early supper break. She's a busy one! And we told on her kids and the chandelier business. :) I can't keep my mouth shut! lol
Anyway, a long drive after that, the girls and I made it home and crashed. I had taken the entire week off and plotted out what we'd do with all the time. Then actually crashed and slept.
And of course a shout out to my dear imaginary bloggy friend Sonya! Without whom, my withering wit would have dried up a long time ago.
Happy Birthday woman!!!!

I love you and I sort of think that I am real!
I'm glad the holidays are over. Its always a crazy rush. And its almost always too much to process.
Happy birthday to her! I don't want to think how old I am in dog years. Definitely dead.
Love your huge family Christmas celebration! It's always so fun to read. I hope the books are ready soon!
Happy Birthday to Sonya! In dog years I am way past dead. Interesting thought....
Looks like a great Christmas! Have a very happy New year!
Blessings,
Jill
I ran our Christmas program for several years, and then decided I did my time. Now I don't even have kids in it any more, but wow was it work! Unexpected treats-the best kind.
