Random Ramblings with a Christmas slant

Last night, I discovered that Leon hadn't even started his chocolate Advent calendar yet!  It was still sealed up.  So he and I worked on getting it half way caught up.  It's the 11th, right??

The calendar had the days of the month written on them, but the print was in light gold and you could barely make them out, so I got out a marker.  Straining to make out the numbers was killing my eyes...  Even with glasses!

Last night I worked on my tea length skirt.  Over lunch I'm hoping I'll have time to hem up a shirt that I made a month ago that I want to wear tomorrow morning to my sewing meeting.  And tonight, I'll work on a ruffly shirt for literal style show.  Should be fun!

I can't wait until it freezes JUST a bit more.  Apparently there is a small dog that likes to use our front yard for the rest room....  When I set up the blowup snowman, my shoes got yucky...

Our yard is a bit confusing right now.  There is the blowup snowman and just over his shoulder you can see the leg lamp from A Christmas Story...

I'm sure people are probably wondering just what holiday we're actually celebrating.

I'm hoping this weekend to pick up some Christmas tree branches that a local tree farm gives away and dress up the wagon next to our door.  Our Irish high cross is in it and we'll surround it with branches and lights.  I hope it will look nice and SOMEWHAT Christmassy.  AND maybe we'll get some more lights up around the house, inside and out.

But I'm not holding my breath.  I also need to finish the books for my parents Christmas present.  Monday is the day to send it in!

Ok, enough random stuff.

No wait!

Leon...

Ok, THAT's enough random stuff.

As usual, you are crazy busy! I don't know how you keep up! I love the Irish Cross and totally need that leg lamp.
