It's one of those rare days...
I want to rant. I want to yell and throw things around.
But I'd have to clean up whatever mess I make, so that's out.
So instead I might be cleaning a closet when I find time...
PLUS I couldn't find the right Foxtrot comic to illustrate my point...
Could this day GET any worse???!
Ok I'm back after dropping off Leon at school. The day COULD get worse, but it made me put things in perspective a little. I had become moody and angry and passed it on. Leon didn't deserve that.
Just before we had to leave the house, Leon jumped on a sleeping Ellie to give her a hug. Ellie jumped up and ran back to her sanctuary in the laundry room and Leon was left looking at the floor saying "EEEWW!!! WHAT'S THIS?!"
Apparently he'd startled her...
So in cleaning that up and finding him a new jacket to wear because his current one got dipped, I realized something. When one child treats you like a criminal and becomes the master spin doctor because you've asked a question because you're confused about something, you need to put it out of your head and not pass the bad mood on.
Just because one person is in a bad mood, you don't have to spread it around...
And because you'll eventually just be cleaning up the accidents anyway.
None of what I just said makes sense... But I'm feeling better now.

I actually think I am following exactly what you are conveying! I hope your rant helped, and hope tomorrow is a better day. And Geesh Mom, how dare you care about the lives of your children!
I think it makes perfect sense. I hope today is much better!
