Thursday - We spent the morning shopping and visiting the Swetsville zoo where we'd visited last year.
A few new features, some we didn't remember, and a few not under water this time.
A literal ton of exhibits.
It's free with a donation.
Kind of scary at times. I got to meet the guy that made all of these pieces of art. He started in the 60s and is still working on new pieces. Incredible!!
So a cheap morning over all but fun.
Maddy found an exhibit that is totally functional!!
Then we shopped for lasagna supplies and the Goodwill for some hiking shoes for Meri. We left Robb and Maddy at the church to cook lasagna for that night while I dropped the others off for a nap at the hotel.
Meri and I talked and screamed loud enough to keep the waning sleep off Leon until we got to the hotel. He was awake, but mad. BUT success, as he got in a good nap.
That evening after more car trip shuttles, we and Maddy babysat at the church for several families attending a Bible study. I happened to get the chance to play with little two year Blake and taught him click talk to distract him from the fact that his parents were no where around. It worked for a SHORT time.It wasn't too busy of a day, surprisingly... Except for the running back and forth between the hotel and the church.

I read the title closely this time. No dogs...or buffalo. ;)
Yelling to keep the kids from sleeping? Been there, done that. I know it makes them angry, but it's worth it to get in a good nap.
Your week is so busy, but I too usually cram a lot in "vacation" weeks.
Love what the artist did with the Bug! I'm a big fan of FREE!
