Thursday randoms
Meri got on the airplane and that's about the same time I noticed that her bedroom light was still on... REALLY???...
Proof they were at the airport.
I hope to have Leon Skype with Maddy tomorrow night and see Maddy's magic trick of suddenly Meri is on her screen too. That should freak him out...
Meri and I have texted quite a bit while she was waiting to board. She got patted down by TSA. HA! At least it wasn't a body cavity search. She agreed.
I've giving blood this evening. Maybe... IF my iron is high enough. I'm typically borderline low... They called today. Apparently my blood is really in demand now. The need for blood high in sodium and caffeine baffles me.
As for iron, I had spinach on my omelette this morning, in an iron pan... so we'll see...
In unrelated news, I broke a drill bit. I would really suck in construction...
Friday randoms
The plane landed safely and after not receiving a text from Meri, I did the texting. "Have you arrived?" She did and Maddy was there to pick her up. Whew... That part of the worry is done!
I showed up to give blood and they poked my finger. My iron was too low. The nurse was frustrated because that was the 5th in a row she'd had to turn away. WHY are people not getting enough iron??! So she decided to literally take a stab at a second poke on a different finger.
It appears that my ring finger has enough iron but my middle finger doesn't...
I don't know what that means.
But they took my blood and I got to visit with the nurse that took my blood back in December, the last time I was in and had a bad time afterwards. I did take it easy last night, however I also rushed up the stairs to get something and as soon as I got to the top, I realized that that was too much... I suddenly felt drained as if I'd pass out.
So I sat and did paperwork while watching Wallander the rest of the evening until Robb got back from taking Meri to the airport and a half dozen other places he needed to be today.
I usually only mock and critique the shows that Robb watches, but I have a gripe with my own show that I'm watching. Wallander's father has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and he's dead within 6 months... And he showed next to no signs of what I'm familiar with in regards to dementia. Who wrote this tripe!??
A few outbursts and you die?
So Robb is wondering why I watch this show if I'm just going to find fault with it. Well, it's more than just the Alzheimer's... The mysteries and whodunits are intriguing and the scenery in Sweden is fantastic.
Plus I like the main actor. He's a lot older now, but I did like his younger self.
ALSO you can see Tom Hiddleston in his younger self... But he's got an attitude. :\
But maybe he's been typecast...
Speaking of typecast, I've been typecast as a tired mother and computer programmer.
Back to it, eh?
