On Saturday afternoon, Maddy, Matthew, Robb and I played the game Say Anything. It has nothing to do with putting a boom box above your head and looking wistfully at a window.
The gist of the game is, the person who's turn it is, picks out a card with an interesting question on it.
Example...
And all questions start with "In My Opinion..."
In My Opinion, what is the worst movie of all time?
Everyone else writes their guess down on their erasable squares and puts it in the middle of the table.
The person who's IT decides which one they like best and marks the color on a little disk. Then everyone else votes for the best one.
Typically if you know the person who's IT well, it's not too difficult to come up with how they think. And if you don't know, it's best to try to go for the humor factor.
Example:
In my opinion, what would you do if you could be invisible?
Going for the humor factor: My nephew had come up with this one in the past..
Answer: Go into every room, pass gas without saying anything, then go into the next room and pass gas.
That one is a winner, every time!
Then everyone gets points based on which one wins, which ones get the most votes, etc. I usually let someone else keep score because I just can't keep it straight.
So Leon was kind of watching while he was in and out of the room playing.
Later, Matthew was trying to work on his computer and Leon kept interrupting him so that Matthew would draw him a Pokemon on one of the cards.
Leon loved it and would come back pretty frequently for more.
On Monday night, Leon brought me the Say Anything game and asked to play it with me. Okey dokey! I made it into a version of Pictionary Jr and changed up the cards just a little.
"In your opinion, what is the best meal ever?"
He drew the burger in the top left corner. That is not a drink next to it, but a napkin.
He's somewhat of a realist in his art work.
The top right is a Pokemon, bottom left a minivan with him in the booster seat. Bottom right, ice cream in jail and the bottom is words in a book.
He insisted that we show Matthew so I posted this on his FB wall.
He will be the next Bob Ross!
He just needs a wig...

He draws well! That invisible game. I don't think I'll share that with my son.
That is a great way to play with a little person. I am going to remember that when my granddaughter visits.
Ice cream in jail? That sounds so psychologically interesting.....
Do they even serve ice cream in jail? How old is he. Is SAy Anything a board game? It sounds fun.
Michelle is funny!!!!!
I can't wait to hear about everything that you did this weekend!! Mine has been pretty boring. Yay.
