On Sunday, I actually took a short nap in the afternoon. Like I thought the whole world did when I was a kid. Only 30 minutes, but it was needed. I hadn't quite recovered from the blood letting last week. I've been pumping iron since though.
Visited with Ada for a little bit.
Then attended a 4H meeting in place of Meri, who had to work. I volunteered her for a few things.
SURPRISE!!
After that, I hustled and got to a prom meeting that the Junior parents are in charge of. After the meeting, I ran to the sign up sheets, so I wouldn't get saddled with the work that no one wants to do. I signed up for decorating. How much fun is THAT?!
The measly four slots for signing up on that sheet were full so I crammed my name in at the bottom.
Got home in time to Skype with Maddy and hang out with Leon a bit. Meri had texted earlier to see if she could have some friends over to carve pumpkins... REALLY?!!
It's still September, right?
We said Why not?!
She texted again, "Oh and can you and Dad not be in the kitchen or living room trying to be funny the whole time?"
* crickets *
That much honesty leaves me a bit bitter.
I ate quickly and headed upstairs where I sewed the rest of the night. Leon has ALMOST another hoodie jacket now!
I suppose I sew better when I'm fuming.

Ahhhh, bless teenagers hearts and mouths.
Nothing quite like being the parent of a teenager :)
Our humor is not appreciated either. I love a good carved pumpkin!
