Feelin' kind of here today. My feet hurt, I'm wearing too warm a sweater (think I'll change) and the 2nd order of lace from JoAnns just got cancelled again...
WHHHYYYYY!!!???
I'm suspecting because I ordered more than 8 yards of it and they sat in a tizzy all week wondering how to fulfill my order and just decided to cancel it. I think the bolts only go as high as 8. sigh...
I'll call them as soon as they open...
On the plus side, I'm eating some of the last of Robb's French Toast casserole that he made last weekend! I hope it doesn't make me sick...
Meri is going to try out for the State Honor Choir and we attended an event last night where all the kids tried out in front of their parents and non-official judges. Mainly because we can't go to the actual try outs and parents love to hear their kids sing! I know I do!
So the 30 or so kids trying out broke up into groups of 4 or less and sang the same 4 snippets of the choir songs each. I could almost sing along with the last group... Repetition is your friend!
I think the best sounding groups had 4 in them as you got the soprano, alto, tenor and bass all together. It was kind of weird hearing a group of two where you only heard the alto and tenor...
Do they REALLY know what song they're singing??...
But the choir director just kept nodding his head behind the piano like they were doing exactly what they were supposed to, so I guess they did.
I used to sing alto and I thought it had the loveliest melody line. EVERYONE should sing that one!
Meri is, of course, soprano, and has a gorgeous trill in her voice as she sings. LOVE it!
I'm not biased...
Sorry - no pics or videos of her performance. I forgot to take my camera with me and I haven't seen any posted yet this morning from other parents...
For todays sake and because I need a photo of SOME kind to post, here you go.
Pumpkins from last year.
Enjoy your weekend!

Gee...thanks...lol! I wanted to hear the trill! I sang alto too - I liked being able to harmonize, not that I can do that now!
Hard to believe but right as I type this you are probably doing a thousand things at once.
You aren't having much luck on the lace. Have you ever had this happen before?
