Wow, I look tired... I guess I was. AND windblown. Why oh why didn't I bring along a hair brush?! And a stand in?
Anyway, we were expecting Maddy and Matthew for the weekend and just Maddy showed up.
We missed you Matthew!
And even though Maddy gave us "I've got Good News and Bad News and Good News and then again Bad News" scenario, we still enjoyed having her on Saturday.
We were able to pick up Leon for the evening too and after a VERY early Super Secret Steak Night, we attended the last evening of Meri's play.
Third time for me. And I just LOVE this picture!
She's not actually singing here. But she sure looks like she's belting out a tune, huh?
Also, I can recite the play almost verbatim at this point... Robb said it held together much better on the final performance. Probably because he kept dozing off at the Friday night show. He was better rested and had some caffeine on Saturday.
On Sunday, I whipped up two pillowcases to sent to my Dad for his birthday coming up this week.
He's a Marine, can you tell?
As soon as that got done, I worked on Meri's prom dress for a while and attached the skirt to the bodice. It's coming together!!! Meri asked that I have it done by Wednesday.
Found this on the panel outside the front door yesterday... I know it's faint, but if you squint you can see it. Leon wrote his name in pencil. Both in caps and then in lower case.
What a smart kid!
Not that I'm condoning this kind of behavior at all! Found out that he'd also written on his mom's wall with lipstick and sprayed a bunch of her perfume out...
This kid has a future...
Not sure which way it's leaning yet, but there is a future there somewhere...
That's my weekend. What did YOU write on?

Magic eraser for the win...after the obligatory photo. ;)
Tell your daddy Happy Veteran's Day a little late. My husband loves the Marines and has studied every book and movie put out about them. On Thursday he had his time to pull out the books and tell Ethan about great Marine battles. ;) How fitting for the Marines birthday to be the day before Veteran's day!
I hope the good news was much greater than the bad news and outweighed it by a long shot.
Both picture of the family are lovely! Ditto on the magic eraser! (though I still have one piece of "artwork" I intentionally left. It's on the woodwork behind the den sofa. Every time I pull the couch out to clean behind it I get to see it, and I am the only one who knows it's there. The offender is a Sr. in college now)
Great.
Meri looks so glamorous!! Like a silent film siren! You've gotten off easily for the writing...so far...I remember getting up in the morning once to find printing ink all over the keyboard of our piano. Now that was fun :(
