When Leon got off the bus yesterday, I let him play in the yard. I sat out on the porch with my laptop and kept my boss happy as Leon tooled around and I seriously think he rolled in the mud... His snow pants, coat, mittens and gloves are in the dryer right now after an emergency washing. Wow, was it wet out there!
Today looks a little better work-wise, unless you talk with one of my co-workers... Then it's a hell-break again and I'll get dragged back in. Yikes. *don't talk to them, don't talk to them.*
Went to my first LuLaRoe party online last night. It might inspire me to make my own leggings. I mean, I HAVE the serger and tons of knit fabric already. I could definitely save $25...
While the knits in my stash may not look like roller skating rink carpeting, it is pretty cute stuff...
NOT my legs, but a friend's who pointed out the skating rink carpet comparison yesterday on FB.
I ordered a pair for Meri (not these), so we'll see what they're like and maybe I'll make a bunch this summer, AFTER the wedding for the girls and myself, besides the teacher type clothes that Maddy has already ordered for fall.
I made more tracks on my wearable muslin last night, fixing things that I'd screwed up... like the darts weren't pointing in the right direction and that's just not a good look! AND the bottom of the zipper looked stupid, so I redid it.
As soon as I find some fusible interfacing either in the house or at the store, I'll do the finish up stuff. I'm not a fan of that.
If only I could just wear it like it is! But that's not socially acceptable.
*look at her dress!! The hem looks ragged... wait, there is no hem... *
If only I could do what I did in college and just tuck the unhemmed shirt into my jeans! but I can't tuck things in anymore either. Sucks to be middle-aged! And yes, I plan to live until I'm 100. :)

Muddy clothes are the best! LOl :-) I can't seem to get on the LuLu bandwagon... seem pricey to me and not all that flattering in some styles. :-) I know it's popular but I'm thinking it may be a fad that will soon die out. Your so talented in sewing you could make your own and custom design them in your Etsy shop! :-)
Have a great afternoon!
blessings,
Jill
That carpet comparison is hilarious! And yes it is so wet and muddy right now AND we're under a rain warning right now - that is just so weird for February! However mud IS fun to play in as I remember:)
Those are the softest leggings. I tried them on, but chickened out. I'm a jeans girl though I do love their Nicole and Ana dresses. If I could make those leggings I would do it in a heartbeat! Go for it.
Oh, and I probably shouldn't say this, but it makes me think I might not be so bad at sewing when I read someone as talented as you still has to rip out zippers and fix wonky hems. I feel your pain.
