Saving Lives

So Sunday Maddy took us to the highest point in town.  She thought the drive up would make her father nervous, but as long as he could see the road on the other side of the hood, he was fine.  If you don't know what I mean, go to Jerome, Arizona.  Yikes!

Leon was extremely wired.  Not sure why. He wouldn't listen to save his life.

But he would hold our hands when we made him.  The path out to the bluff was pretty long with gorgeous drop offs and views.

With a few Kodak moments here or there.  Leon likes to pose as a statue and Maddy jumped right into the act.

In Ireland, there wouldn't be fences to keep you from falling down this...

Leon was convinced that there would be wild animals on this hike and was very disappointed until Robb pointed out a wild dog that someone brought along on their hike.

That'll do...  Plus he could pet it.

Leon's version of "Sit next to the statue so we can take your picture!"

Second attempt.  He would NOT put his arm through hers to save his life.

A long but beautiful drive back down the bluff.  I took so many pictures of the beautiful scenery and now when I look at it, I've decided most of it's a "you had to be there" moment.  It's all brown and branches everywhere.  dang.

I couldn't take a good picture of it to save my life.
But this one will do!

Awesome pictures, but no way I could get that close to the edge, I got woozy just looking at the picture, lol...
Have a great day!

Blessings,
Jill

I think what I love best is his version of stand by the statue so I can get a picture of it. Since I had only sons (x3) i really do get it!

Most kids get in different moods if a situation is unfamiliar. It is a wonder that we don't hear of more falls in other places.

It always amazes me how a town can't be built onto the side of a mountain! How the heck do they do that? I don't think I could live there - I'd be afraid of rolling down the streets. Took me a minute to see Leon's little head peeking out behind that sculpture - what a card!

I think it is funny he would not touch her.
