Serging towards the weekend

I am SO glad it's Friday!!!!  I've only got 2 more miracles to pull out of someone's ear before the end of the work day and then I'm home free!!!  Well, except for getting the house straightened up for Meri's company this evening...  sigh.  It's a never ending, unapologetic, unappreciative cycle.

I got the table runner done last night with several variations on it that I want some advice on.  It can be a neat folded under edge, as long as no one looks on the back side, a serged edge, a serged rolled edge or a plain cut edge.

We'll be seeing the bride child this weekend and I'll get her take on it.  The one that I made had a few holes in it from shipping, so it's expendable.

The ends will come to a point and that part is the easiest.

I'm looking for speed.  If I just fold it under without doing the double fold, then I won't have to iron, iron, sew 56 x3.5 yards, ok I might as well say it.  miles.

I'm kind of liking the serged rolled edge...  One pass and I'm done!  But we'll see.  I don't want someone's cup to tip over because they place it on the edge...

Have a marvelous weekend!  May your weather man be wrong and it's nice and sunny and warm.

I would say make the tablecloths work with the least amount of effort for you!

I love how the runner comes to a point - have to agree with Anne and Kim - do it the way that is speediest for you!

Not because it is easiest, but I love a rolled edge. My home serger was only used to make napkins with a rolled edge.

I was gonna say rolled edge. I used a pinking blade on my rotary cutter, then turned under once, pressed and hemmed. We've washed them and they have held up well!
