Yesterday around 4pm, Robb and I were talking and he asked why Meri wasn't home yet.
So I called her.
"Where ARE you?"
"um... I'm at ###### college and won't get back until 8."
"oh yeah..... "
"and I forgot to ask you for some more money for today so I have $3 worth of quarters to pay for my supper."
"oh yeah..... borrow some from a friend and I'll send some $ to school with you tomorrow"
"But I don't HAVE any friends!!!!"
scoffing on this end...

Her chamber choir went on a field trip and sang for several director students at this college while also getting a tour of the campus. Her director told them to expect an audition from Meri this next year.
The girl says no.
On Monday night, I met up with other junior parents at the high school shop room and made some decorations for the prom. I'm on the decorating committee.
I was the lead spray painter. After spraying black over several 5 gallon buckets, another mom and I sprayed 3 "very thin" plastic sheets with gold paint.
They're to look like this for the grand march and a homemade photo booth backdrop for the all nighter prom party.
We need to make a few more but ran out of the spray cans.
The woman in charge has all of Pinterest memorized. Amazing...
It's like a real live talking "Make & Do" Childcraft book.
It gave me some GREAT ideas on something to do to deck out the dance floor for the wedding!

So yeah... Meri has been busy this week. She's penciled me in at 9pm tonight to try on the prom dress.
Note that I said "penciled".

I love all the visuals! That's a great backdrop idea - hope you were spray painting outside - I'm getting woozy just thinking about it!
The plastic sprayed gold was so pretty! I will have to remember that. Other colors would work, too.
