Marching Pretty Grand

And here she is in all her glory...

and her date.

After several attempts to not stab her date, she finally got the corsage attached.

We took a ton of photos at the local indoor mall with the entire group of kids that went on the party bus that she/we organized.

Then the party bus took them all to dinner and then back to the high school for the grand march.  Which was VERY impressive!  If I had my camera out in my office, I'd download some of the decor from that.  But will do that maybe tomorrow.  Happenings at our house today...

Anyway, I caught up with Meri after the grand march and took photos of her unawares. :)  The first one apparently was centered on her chest.  I tried to be discreet taking the photos so I didn't know what I'd get...

After taking photos of her and various friends, I decided that "I" am one of her friends too and asked someone to snap our photo too.

Kid, I am one of the closest people you will have in your life for a LOOOOONG  time...  I may discipline you.  I may not always agree with what you have to say.  I may not like the same music you do.  I may do or say things that make you mad.

But no matter what, I will always be there for you and love you.

Then the kids went to the prom and after prom party.  More tomorrow.

Beautiful! You did a fabulous job. I'm so glad you got a photo of you two together. And that thought at the end? I sent my girl a text this morning telling her how happy I am that she's mine. She's my best friend and I like it that way. ;)

What a glorious shade of blue! She looks fantastic momma bear :) (that's what my daughter calls me) But the party bus - so reserved and calm! Where are the hooligans?

Her dress is phenomenal, but the picture of you and your lovely daughter is the best! I hope Meri had a wonderful time and keeps making great memories, with her friends and her mom, as she moves into her final days of the school year.
