Woohoo! The Iowa State fair is ON!!! Well, tomorrow. But tonight I get to find out if any of my ten items got placed with a ribbon!!!!
I'm guessing NOT on a bulk of them, maybe all. Remember, I was going for quantity, not quality, but they were all completed and seams finished on all of them. Just maybe not with matching thread or exact precision...
A friend from my sewing group and church is going to meet me there and we'll go through the Fabric and Threads department together. We'll check out all the entries and look for items of people we know. Ok, mine. We'll be looking for mine!
Found out that Meri doesn't have the next two days off from work and she sings at the fair... The people she's been texting with to switch days haven't texted back. I suggested calling them. Apparently if you call teenagers with a request, the answer will always be NO! Texting is the way to go... always...
Who knew??!
They better text back soon or Meri will miss out on her opportunities!!!
It won't interfere with the Bill Riley performance though. Whew!
Leon and his daddy went on a sleepover in a nearby town for a couple nights. I miss that little guy!!! The big one too, but he's been gone for a few days at a shot anyway, so that's nothing new. But THIS is... They're supposed to be exploring downtown on foot all day today. I hope they have fun.

Good luck to Meri - I hope she gets the chance to shine! I think her blue prom dress is a dream - the colour is just amazing.
