The mission rally is done. Very informative with a missionary and his wife that had helped with orphanages in Haiti. As I listened, I sat with some wool yarn and made dryer balls. The ladies of my church and I hosted and lunch was from a local bbq joint and delicious...
When I got home, I spent the rest of the day sewing on some curtains. ALMOST done, but then it was evening and I took the rest of the night off from sewing. I couldn't start on the bridesmaid dress alterations until I had the right thread and that would come Sunday.
Sunday after church, we did a bunch of grocery shopping and as we headed out on the highway to home, I remembered the thread. Robb was gracious and turned around so we could hit up JoAnn Fabrics. He claims we had lunch at JoAnn's... He opened a bag of chips and ate in the car while he waited for me... ha..ha..
And in looking back now, I think that's all we had for lunch. I ate some on the way home too.
In the middle of the night on Saturday, I got a wild hair on how to get one of the couches out of the living room and give us a bit of a tv room. It meant redoing our bedroom in a big way... So I spent the rest of the afternoon doing that. Sorting fabric that had found it's way into our room via the sewing machine table, moving the sewing machine table, being creative with a trunk in order to raise up our tv higher and rewiring the cable for our cable box.
This WILL work! I just need to get a few strong men/women together to move that blinkety blanky couch up the stairs without poking new holes in the walls or breaking the railings or pictures. I plan to lounge on said couch soon... It didn't happen last night.
Meri got home from a birthday party and then fell asleep on the couch. So hardly saw her all day.
Got to Skype (or whatever the ap is these days) with Maddy and Matthew last night! Hadn't talked to her in two weeks. We watched her do a puzzle while we talked.
Tonight is an open house at the elementary school for Leon. I can't wait to have him tell us all about his classroom.
Sorry I'm kind of a dead head this morning. Trying to figure out how to pull a few miracles out of me by Friday.
Wish me luck!
What a rainy, darkish, yucky day!

The thought of moving a couch up my stairs is more than I can take, at the moment. You are a seriously, motivated woman!
What I wouldn't give for a wet and yucky day! The ground around here is like cement and grass is the colour of straw...wait...maybe it IS straw! I had my bedroom like that for a while, but it was a love seat not a full size couch. I also had a desk area set up - this was back when I was teaching. It worked out well as Kazi could watch TV while I did my lesson planning.
