On Saturday, I headed for my home town all by myself. My dad was celebrating a birthday soon and some siblings were able to get together to help celebrate now. Woohoo!
I'm always game for a party!
Here is the old train bridge in my home town.
I got to the nursing home and my dad was still calling the BINGO game,
so Mom gave me one of her cards and I played the last game or two. My card was a dud...
This picture used to hang in our old church YEARS ago! I loved that one. It now hangs in her room.
And the blanket we made for Mom for last Christmas is still loved and looking good!
Then we met up with a sister and her family,
a nephew,
and my bro.
Had a great lunch and then I headed back home. SHORT trip, but good. I picked up a pizza for Robb from his favorite college pizza joint and ate some of it on the drive back.
Even though I was stuffed from lunch, eating kept me awake... I ate 3 slices, ALL the rest of a box of Swiss cakes rolls, any candy I could find in the car and some Diet Coke. Because I'm on a diet.
I spent all afternoon and evening sewing. I made two Super Hero capes for Meri's play directors. The seniors in the play cast will sign them and present them to the two teachers who produced/directed the play this coming weekend.
I also started working on a petal skirt for Meri. She's a Super Hero named Blossom. They're turning out SO cute! I'm going to sew them onto some elastic for a belt for her to wear with her costume.
yes, those are pipe cleaners.
We're supposed to get a new internet connection today, and the guy JUST showed up. It'll be interesting to see if this connection is faster or more reliable than our old one...
What did YOU do over the weekend?

I am so glad to see someone else diets like I do!
I also received a new internet connection! lol This guy showed up and surprised me. Our internet company, (our only choice out here), is never usually so prompt. Scared me to death out here at the end of the road. Glad you had a good weekend with your parents.
