After school, Leon RAN up to the friend on the left's house and begged him to come play. On the way back, friend on the right, was sitting in his mom's car while she got the mail and left said car to chase after the boys. I said, "Does your mom know you came over?" "I yelled to her that I was."
His mom walked across the street and made sure that was ok. Also dropping off an allergy pen.
These boys watched Leon play a game for a while, then the left one had to leave at 5. I don't know what it is about boys and watching other people play games... I'd keep saying, "When is MY turn?!" They didn't.
After Jackson left, Leon and Bentley played swords outside, inside, hitting things until they realized I was making homemade pizza for supper. Leon bragged that I make the BEST!! I've never heard him say that before! And he asked if Bentley could stay for supper.
Well, Bentley is allergic to peanut butter and who knows what else. So I was apprehensive, but after they got permission from his mom, I made a section of the pizza to just be cheese as he didn't like the other things I was putting on it.
Looks like I'll be the Kool-aid Grandma this summer! I'm ok with that.
Mental note: buy Kool-aid.
Also yesterday, I made two of these bags. I wanted something cheap and easy to make for graduation gifts. And look! I'm going with a theme! The theme is this.
"Use up what I have."
And I had some odds and ends of the map fabric. I cut them into strips this way or that and put them onto the very thin black lining fabric. They won't last TOO long, but hey, they're cute. I sent Meri the above pic and she said, CUTE and then asked what it was for.
Ummmm we talked about this... Oh yeah...
So we've gotten several invites for her friends parties and I'll be taking these. IF I get them all done. We'll see. If she's going to parties and I wasn't invited, then her presence can be the actual present. I don't feel obligated about those.
I attended two already last weekend but we had some Amazon gift cards to tuck into the cards as these hadn't been started yet.
I'll write up something to tuck inside, like "Let this help you as you plot out your future." or something corny like that.
Any suggestions?

Ho big are the bags? Are they laundry bag size or suitcase sorting size? Nice and thoughtful gift that I'm sure will get much use. I don't think you can make the best homemade pizza because DD2 once said I do.
I don't know either about boys and games. My son and his friends would do that too when they were younger. My son now tells me of people who watch people on the internet playing games and PAY THEM??? They make thousands apparently.... ridiculous! Love the little bags. For notes, have a look at Rhonda Buss's blog... she has great sayings every Sunday.
How about - "I think the WORLD of you!"
