TIMBER!!!!!

Tuesday was a busy one at the McVal household!  Not only was I trying to keep ahead on all the activities that require my chauffeuring, programming, tech support, general house-holding and wannabe sewing but suddenly I heard some unnecessary noise outside.

LOOK!!!!  I wanted to surprised Robb and arranged for these guys to come take down the dead tree that my landscaping nephew said hesitantly last year, "It should come back..."  LIAR!!!  But he makes good pizza so I'll forgive him.

Little by little, the tree came down and then got chipped up in their machine.

Check out the daredevil man!!!  I would NOT want that job...

And then it was all the way down.  YAY!

Robb didn't even notice when he got home.  darn.  But he was surprised I had it done so secretly.
With our tree luck in the last year, it would just be our luck for this one to fall into the house.
I'm being preventative!

And at the exact same time, the guy showed up to work on the deck!!!!  YAY!!!!
Hammering and sawing ensued.

Not sure how he's going to do this yet...  BUT I have faith that it will get done correctly.

Today, after any chauffeuring that I need to do and any worky work that needs to get done, I hope to spend a little of my free time sewing some buttons on the projects for Meri's friend's family.  Once that is out of my hair, I can concentrate on cruise-wear and fun stuff again.

OOH OOH!  If you're at Adventureland on Saturday, look around for the bagpipe group that will be playing here and there.  I'm one of their groupies and will be fetching one of the pipers food and supplies.  OR I'll be near them hand sewing furiously...  or reading a sewing magazine...  But I'll be close by.  I will NOT be on a roller coaster, because I just don't see the fun in that at all!

It's official.  I'm old.

It almost made me faint to watch a man climb my tree and walk out on a limb with a chain saw. It was amazing and scary. I know how you feel.

Then I've been old for a while. ;)

My husband would love it if I had all those kinds of things taken care of secretly.
