Leon made a friend on the shuttle bus and begs to play with him each day when the bus arrives in our town. The boy's dad picks him up within 5 minutes of them arriving, but that doesn't stop Leon's play time.
So he hangs out on the middle school play ground and plays on the equipment, showing me stunts on a thing that spins all the way around if you hang on tight enough. I still get there on time, but just work from the car for about ten minutes until I feel he's played enough and the middle school track team runs past. That's usually my cue.
"Leon, let's go!" "Ok!" It used to be harder than that, the first week of school... But now he's got the routine down. When it gets colder, I think *hope* he'll give up the play time here.
We'll see.
Also, he said that he wants to go to middle school here! Mainly because of the awesome playground equipment... AND because his dad and aunts went here.
I am super ok with that!
He thought it was cool that we and his dad, when his dad was a baby, lived in the apartment just behind his elbow in the picture.
Ah the days when the kid training for gymnastics, lived upstairs. We're pretty sure he was jumping off the table most of the time...
Well, back to the grind.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
