So... I was all excited for a weekend with warmer weather. Robb and I went to town and met Leon's newest twin siblings for the first time. We had some clothes for them and I'm sure the mom was anxious to get some for her babies.
Leon didn't go as his dad was worried about the covid.
We wore masks and reeked of hand sanitizer when we went in.
The babies sure are cute!
I did some shopping when we got back to our town and then got home mid afternoon. I was all ready to go mow the yard but then couldn't find the battery charger. darn! It's probably at Meri's.
Oh well. By that time I'd lost the ambition and watched the rest of the movie Tex Montana will survive. Wow! If you can get past the language, it's a weird show.
It reminded me of a cross between Tucker & Dale vs Evil and Bear Grylls.
Almost done with it and I was suddenly struck with , "maybe this is a true story!"
So I checked it out on IMDB. Nope. In fact, none of the spoken words were even put to paper. ever.
It was a movie done with an established actor and $1500 and no script. EVERYTHING was adlibed.
So even though a lot of the script was "F... F... F... F..." it gave me a renewed interest in the story and admiration for the people who dreamed up the idea of it.
Call me crazy...
several people do.
my family
and they still love me
sort of.
this "stay in your house" thing is getting old.
Even when you're getting out as much as I am...
So... On Sunday morning, we got a call from Robb's mom, from downstairs. She had a problem. I went down and then came back up and asked Robb to go down.
After calling first nurse, it was determined that Robb needed to take her to the emergency room.
NON-Covid related issue. But she was scared to death going to the hospital in an atmosphere that the nation is currently in.
Robb took her, and while the emergency room people took her in, they kicked Robb out. He had to sit in the car and wait to find out what was happening before leaving.
Since he is the usual AV guy at church and records the sermons for our congregation to watch online, I got the honor. And since my phone never has more than 755 megabytes available at any given time because I have too many precious moments tucked away in it at the moment, I had to use Robb's phone. So he sat in the hospital parking lot for two hours without anything to do. I did leave him my laptop but he didn't remember the password on it and had no way to communicate with me.
Apparently I did an ok job recording the sermon and then ran his phone back to him.
MIL ended up staying over night and will probably come home today barring any complications.
I did mow our yard and as soon as I started our mower and started around the front yard, a bunch of neighbors started pooling out in their yards to watch me... And that's when I remembered and then the parade of our local emergency vehicles started... DANG!
I can't shut my mower off or it won't start again... So I texted Robb to send out the boy and the others. They did and enjoyed it from the porch while I whipped around the back yard like a maniac with headphones in.
Listening to 80s rock on youtube from my phone at top volume while mowing is the best! However I don't dare sing along. EVERYONE will hear...
I would sound like SUCH a nerd...

Kudos for you for filling Robb's shoes. I wish your MIL well-I am sure she was scared.
