I think this is one of the first pics I have of the inside of Meri's house, back in August.
Don't you love those glamorous curtains? I still do.
Well, today, she and I finished up all the little projects that she'd had her heart set on completing before the end of her "closed daycare" days. Except the nap room. That was going to get a fresh coat of paint and new trim, but time got away from her and that will have to be a weekend project some day.
She calls her kitchen the banana room now, as the walls are yellow with brown trim and the carpet was replaced with black linoleum tiles. The dining room has green walls and brown trim and the carpet was removed to reveal a hardwood floor, which she and I refinished a very dark, cherry black. The living room walls are a white with a hint of red (not even pink) with brown trim. The front 3 little rooms in the entry way are the same as the livingroom colors.
Today, we hung up the living room drapes again as we were putting it off because the curtain assembly needed reattachment to the ceiling after an unfortunate incident just before Covid hit.
Also today, Meri got Maddy on a DUO call and Maddy read us a book during a short break.
Wolfie the Bunny
GREAT story!!! A bit on the edge of my seat and scared in a couple spots, but funny.
I wish I was still in kindergarten some days...
A few hours of general cleaning and paint tape removal later and Meri's vision is complete.
It's all lovely and everything looks like it belongs there now.
Sorry I don't have pics... I am pooped.
There will be a few touch ups here and there to take care of, but she did good.
She would SO get a blue ribbon at the 4H fair and a certain shot at going to the State Fair with it if she was young enough.
The important thing is that she's ready to reopen tomorrow for her usual kids.
WHEW!
She can start earning money again!

It is good she got stuff done while not working. I cannot wait to see the new pictures.
Congratulations to Meri!
Glad she was able to get some projects done. I hope her re-opening goes well. Childcare centers are still closed here in Ohio. I am hoping to start watching my 4 year old kiddo next week as her parents are supposed to go back to work. We shall see.
