Frosting more than just cookies

Spent 15 minutes over my lunch break yesterday working with Leon on our Christmas gingerbread tiny house!

This is what we were working towards...

and this is where we had to leave it for an hour for the frosting to dry up.

After tearing up the front yard snow, he later frosted various places on it with more frosting then took a bite of a wall that caved in.

for Covid purposes I've claimed the frosted red roof that slid off.

Then since I still had time left, I whipped up a batch of gingerbread cookie dough to be rolled out and baked later.

I will gain so much weight in the next two weeks from all these treats and frozen dough balls in the deep freeze.....

Will NOT give up hope!
or dieting...
or working out.

But in the meanwhile I'm enjoying every morsel I can get my grubby mitts on!

That is a mighty fine looking gingerbread house. Well done, Leon. I know I need ot be diligent or I will balloon-too many treats and no where to take them.

Happy decorating! I love the gingerbread house. I read somewhere (or just pretended I did) that calories consumed during the holidays do not count. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
