I'm so glad you called!

So I was about to head out to my office this morning and I got a call from Meri, "Can you bring some garbage bags and toilet paper when you come over this morning?"

GASP!

I'd forgotten...

She had a vet appointment for her kitten and needed me to sit with her kids for an hour or so.  Whew!

She had two little girls there this morning so after 30 minutes of working on my laptop while they watched a Zombie high school movie, I couldn't take it anymore.

REALLY?!  They've accepted zombies into their human high school but shun werewolves?
Not entirely sure if this is teaching them lessons or not...

So I dug out Meri's Childcraft book on stories and fables, paused the movie and said, "Hey do you guys know what a fable is?"

I read them the boy who cried wolf and the tortoise and the hare.
Then Rapunzel.  And do I know what THOSE pregnancy cravings were like?!!
I'd risk my husband to a witch for that...

Anyway, back home now and getting caught up on work stuff.

I'm so glad she called!

Rapunzel is a favorite story of ours-we loved Tangled. My daughter was Rapunzel in Into the Woods her senior year. I love it when I get reminders-unintentionally, to something forgotten.
