Murphy's McVal Law

When it rains...    it pours,... and hails... and spits... and throws knives at you.

JUST when you think the cars are under control and life in general can get going, something else gets thrown at you.  Not only did Jen's car break down on the way to work yesterday, but the above happened last night.  For the record, the above tire was a retread.  Don't know if that was the reason, or a bad rim, or it got curb rubbed a few too many times...  Don't know.  But whatever the cause, I am replacing it today and picked up lots of black duct tape for no reason whatsoever.  Two minor catastrophes in one day...  It's a record for THIS week.
And no one was hurt in any of the incidents. YAY!

I also bought a new battery for the Sweetness because I'm running out of back up cars and apparently got the wrong battery.  And because I already pulled the red tab off, I'm not entirely sure if Walmart will accept it back so there may be tears involved. Definitely not deliberately...  they just come naturally these days.

Maddy and Matthew were gracious and lent me one of their cars for a day or so.  Hopefully I can get things fixed up and back on an even keel for a while.

On a cheerier note, all of the kids and their loves, Reedus and myself (sans Leon) enjoyed a fire at Meri's last night.  Hotdogs and s'mores are the perfect meal!  We had a great time.

I got all the wedding shower stuff washed up and put away early this morning and calculated how much fabric would be required for the wedding dress.  Yikes.  Hopefully the place in California will come through with the $3 a yard stuff.  Because that is going to be a LOT of fabric for that.  The rest of the project is minimal and can be gotten at Joanns.  I'm ready to get GOING on that project!!!

Oh, the wedding shower on Saturday was a lot of fun.  But you know what?  I'll save that for another day.  May need to run someone to work soon.

I'm sorry Val-;the necessary evil of cars shows no mercy. I hope Walmart will work with you.
