Maddy turned 15 yesterday! We're celebrating tonight with dinner and gifts. Her day was jam packed with band practice and a school concert last night. She openned one gift yesterday and will open the rest tonight. Chocolate cake is cooling on the counter and the crockpots are full of chili and chicken for the chicken noodle soup.
For each birthday, the birthday boy or girl gets to pick what will be served. She picked her 4, no 5 favorite things. Chili, chicken noodle soup, grilled cheese sandwiches and chocolate cake with mint chocolate chip ice cream. A meal fit for a Queen!
From the morning that I first knew she was going to be in our lives until now, she's been a joy... except for the few times, but we're past those...
I found out we were pregnant with her while Ryan was in surgery when he was 2. I zipped across the street to the clinic while Robb waited for him to get done and got confirmation that Ryan was going to get a little sibling. So he got a big surprise when he came out from under the anesthetics. That same day he broke out with chicken pox. Coincidence? I think not.
I took her to Sears when she was a tiny baby to get her picture taken with her baptism gown on. A little girl waiting with her mother for the photographer was enthralled by her and asked if she was a princess. Yes, as a matter of fact, she is!
She has grown up into a lovely young lady with a bright future.
Now... if we can just keep her 15 forever, so she won't get her drivers license...

Wow she looks so mature - I sure didn't look like that when I was 15. Happy Birthday Maddy!
What a precious girl! Happy Birthday Maddy! And if you figure out how she became 15, let me know so I can stop mine from getting there! ;) Yikes! They grow up too fast.
She's so pretty! I hope she had a great day yesterday and has a great one today, too! :)

Happy Birthday to Maddy!!
She's a lovely young lady. Yes, I agree about the drivers license. Ugh! As my daughter will be 17 in December, she loves driving!
So you're saying that the whole "how did they get so big?" thing doesn't get any better as they get older? I'm still getting used to a 5 year old.
And she's GORJ btw.
She's a beautiful girl. What a great meal she picked out! Sounds wonderful. Can I have some?
Aww! A happy 15th to her! She's a lovely teenager.

Apropos, My daughter who turns 17 in Dec. goes to take her behind-the-wheel driver's test on thursday. If you can survive the learning to drive year(s), you can survive anything.lol
