Lolo at Lolocraft found an article about how popular snoods are becoming. She and several of her readers were astounded. I am actually intrigued, because these are kind of my new scarf idea, but untwisted and a little longer.
So Lolo and I emailed about it a bit last night with some ideas on how to make this work. I made one, but it's really REALLY long. So I listed it on Etsy as something that you would wrap around your neck twice. It's seamless and serged with a rolled edge. I kind of like it!
What do you think? Pay no attention to the model... Just some woman I pulled in off the street.
So I'm going to experiment some more. I've got some soft wool that I think I could make this snood out of. Apparently this is going to be the accessory of the season, so I definitely want to stay on top of the trend! The following one is basically the same thing, just out of a silkier scarf fabric.
Hmmm... This could work, don't you think? Especially if you want your guy to look like Colin Farrell?
Tell me your thoughts!

I would definitely take a snood with Colin Farrell in it.
I'm with Pam. LOL!
You are too talented, I love this stuff!
Oooh...it turned out great!!!
I've never heard of it, but I love it. It would so work for my kids too. We are forever losing scarfs because they aren't attached. Something around their neck would be perfect. Forge ahead my friend. I think you are onto something.

P.S. Will Colin be delivering them?
I saw an article about these! Some are also calling them circle scarves and they are pretty long. Good for you for jumping on the trend!
Hey McVal,
If I put one of these on my hubby, will he look as good as Colin Farrell?lol
Maybe I should just buy a Colin Farrell....
I hear snood I think 1940's head covering, not this thing.
Your twisted scarf thing is cool though.
I hope you sell oodles!!
That is a really nice picture of you and your snood. SNOOD ! What a funny word huh. Oh yeah, I'll take Colin and leave the snood behind if you don't mind.
I like it and the Colin Farrell photo...
People... people... I don't have any Colin Farrels available anymore. Fresh out!
I think they are really cute. Of course, I'm a freak and can't stand anything around my neck...but for normal people they seem great!
Curious, is it supposed to keep you warm or just look handsome?
I think that I don't need anything else around my neck to make my neck look any thicker LOL
they were talking about these on Oprah...but did not know they were called Snoods....funny word!
