There was a commediene who once said, "I floss religiously... At Christmas & Easter!" I'm the same way. As you can tell from the status of my teeth apparently.
When I was a kid, I had 10 cavities at one single visit filled. My.mom.was.furious! And back then, it was only $5 per filling! Jump ahead several years and several hundreds of dollars later. You could tune a radio with the metal inside my mouth.
So... yesterday I had a salad for lunch with some tuna, cheese and cranberries on it along with Honey mustard dressing and a spray or five of Italian dressing. So I'm weird... Something funky got stuck between two of my back teeth and I started playing with it with my tongue. Shoot... Where's the floss? Tearing apart the bathroom drawers, I finally came across some and went back out to my office.
While I'm perusing my emails from when I was out, I flossed. It's close enough to Easter and I'm being religious about it. The floss got stuck so I yanked on the tiny string. Something flew out of my mouth and across my desk, went *ping* after ricocheting across the room and suddenly I have a palpable hole in my back tooth! I can't find the missing chunk.
Now, absolutely everything is getting stuck in there.
I should have listened to my gut. I KNEW flossing was bad for you!

Following a filling two years ago, I have a larger-than-normal gap between two of my upper back teeth. Everything gets stuck in there! Now I carry floss in my purse because it drives me crazy.
Oh no! I am not the best at flossing either. It just takes too much time! I just had a dentist appt though and my dentist told me there is a questionable area between two of my back teeth and to make sure I floss every day. Those teeth get flossed daily now. Just those teeth.
Oh no!
I floss every single day. I used to not, but then I had a root canal and it hurt too bad so I started.
Wait, that's a lie. I didn't start until I got braces.
I floss all the time after being yelled at by my dentist many many many years ago. I had two roots canals done back to back and NEVER want to go through that again.
I floss for a few days before every dentist appt. I have good intentions after I leave the appointment but quickly revert to my old ways...
I always floss around a dental appointment and then conveniently forget. I'm putting floss on my shopping list now!
I have always had really good teeth, so never worried about flossing. Now that I am "older", I want to keep those really good teeth, so I have started flossing. Almost everyday. It's better than before.
Oh, I forgot to say. Sorry about your tooth!
Oh I hope you don't have a tooth ache to go along with that hole.
Oh no!!
I hate going to the dentist. I wish it was still $5 a tooth! lol
I have always had bad teeth and I even brush several times a day. I totally understand about losing chunks of your tooth. That has happened to me twice!
I floss every morning and every evening. I know sounds a lot like OCD and I agree......
But I just can't stand to have food caught between my teeth......
The days I eat chicken and roast I most definitely have to floss.
Thank you for following my blog.

I used to be that way - a biannual flosser. I started doing it every day more than a year ago and now I'm hooked!
Ha ha what is flossing???? LOL
Five dollars a filling? Oh, my. I think my dentist charges five dollars just to answer the phone. It's crazy how expensive it's gotten.
Flossing kills puppies, just say no!
Actually I'm a compulsive flosser. The dentist loves me!
