I haven't started it yet, but hope to before Saturday morning! It's a boppy type pillow made of sturdy denim. I was on a kick last year to make a whole lot of duffle bags and have a LOT of denim left over. Then I make a pillow case out of something decorative or suitable for a boy or girl. That way when the baby burps up, you can wash it easily.
When you're sitting on the couch, you can nurse or just hold your baby and not have to hunch over. It's very comfortable and I wish I'd had one when I had little ones! At that time, I just kept a lot of pillows tucked around me.
Also when the baby is starting to sit up, you can plop her inside this cushion and not have to put a helmet on her as she learns balance.
I've made several in the past and below is an example of one that I made for a neighbor. But this will be a challenge as this young girl is basically having a concave pregnancy... She was probably a negative clothing size before the pregnancy and is now all the way up to a size zero. *gasp*
So I have to rethink and resize my pattern drastically. I had designed it for my size originally and that worked for a multitude of the women that I gave it to as a gift so far.This one will also have more lace on it. They're expecting a girl! Can't wait to have a little baby to play with at the holiday gatherings! Her due date is Thanksgiving.

THat would make an awesome gift. All the way up to a zero? Now, I feel even more inspired to diet!
I was confused for a second as to whether the pillow was for the mom or baby - but nevermind. It must be this darn cold affecting my brain :D

LOL! She sounds like my sister who thought she was so HUGE when she was pregnant. She got all the way up to 140 lbs. Bigger than a size 0, but far from huge. LOL!

I had something similar to this with the last one. It was stuff with tiny beads which was why it was recalled.
I saw something similar to this on a tv show but it had straps to be able to wear as you walk around. That's not a neat as the pockets that were sewn on the front to hold those things that you need in arms reach. In this case, the man's coke and remote!
That pillow is a new mother's best friend!
