Frandom Friday

Well... Yesterday over my lunch break I raked up too big tarps full of corn husks and made nary a dent... Corn husks are really light weight! Didn't know that. But bulky... I should probably just start a burn pile and haul them to that. But don't have a good spot for it. Guess I'll just keep hauling it to the yard waste place in town... Or find a field to dump them in.

Someone suggested getting a leaf blower and blowing it back into the field! Good idea! Except it would probably blow right back into my yard...

A neighbor is coming over tomorrow and we're going to fix the zipper on her daughters coat.

Oh! You know that magnet weekly organizer that the neighbor kid brought over? I thought I'd lost my mind because I didn't remember ordering it? Yeah, well... I didn't. He came over a week later after I'd already marked it up and stuck it on the fridge and told me it belonged to a different Val down the street.

Oops! He's 5, so he wasn't too happy I'd already unwrapped and used it. But it's washable! Meri got it all together for him and sent him on his way. Now I'll NEVER be organized!! Oh well... it was kind of small anyway and we usually have so much stuff going on, I'll need a bigger one anyway. I think I have something in the garage that will work.

Frosty this morning! Had to scrape the car window with a coupon card. Meri saw the frost and said, "Give me a credit card and I'll do this side." Yeah right! Like I'll trust her with one of my credit cards!!! She's a clever girl, that one...

Went to dog training class last night and the two goldens are getting better. They're not real obedient yet, but they're sitting and staying really well! Well, unless a new dog joins class late, then it's every dog owner for themselves... The sniffing and growling and investigating by ignoring your commands HAS to happen...

Finished sewing the front panel of my turquoise skirt together this week. And I think it's going to fit a lot better. I may cut a little bit off the waist so it will raise up a bit more to fit a little looser. I'm going to like it a lot. I hope. STILL haven't gotten the Salsa blouse pattern yet! Have to call the lady I ordered it from and find out where the heck it is...
