Scream a little dream...

Several years ago, I had a reoccurring nightmare. When I was a teen, my bedroom was on the top floor of the house and overlooked the long curving gravel lane. And that's where the dream starts...

I'm in my room and I see a triangle monster running up the lane towards the house. No details on the monster, just that I know I'm in fear for my life and that triangle monster is going to kill me! I open my mouth but I can't scream. So I shimmy under my bed to hide.

That's usually where the dream stops. But I awaken with my heart racing! And the whole fact that I could fit under my bed MUST have been a dream because I usually stored so much junk under there there was no room for me...

Another reoccurring nightmare...

I'm either in my old office building looking out the back window or in my current diningroom looking out across the corn field across the way. The house that is blocking the view normally isn't there. I can see tornados and lots of them coming towards the house. I've got a full house of company and they're all around me but they don't see it. I open my mouth to scream but nothing comes out. I can't get anyone to understand the danger that is coming! Then I wake up.
Or another time...

My sister is yelling at me from the livingroom window as I'm walking to my car. I turn around and yell back, "You're just crazy!" Suddenly she comes racing out the deck door and down the deck steps waving a huge butcher knife and saying, "I'm NOT CRAZY! I'M NOT CRAZY!!!"

Yikes!!

She has 6.5 kids currently and really doesn't appear all that crazy... So it must have been a dream.

Last night I had another weird dream and was going to tell my hubby when he came out of the bathroom because it was so interesting and weird. I was SURE he'd find it entertaining... He usually does... (rolling eyes). But I turned on Fringe and watched a smidgen of that and when he came in, the dream totally went away. I guess Fringe was freakier than my dream.

Anyway, whenever I ask him what these dreams might possibly mean and what God is trying to tell me, he ALWAYS answers...

You'll have 7 good years of harvest followed by 7 famine years.

I need to quit telling him my dreams...

hehehe....your nickname wouldn't be Joseph by any chance now would it?

And your sister is a better woman than I because if I had 6.5 kids, I'D MOST CERTAINLY BE CRAZY!

I am still having nightmares that I am watching "that show that shall not be named" and Gretchen wins....ugh!! Why can't I wake up from that one??

I always mean to write my dreams down, but I forget. Then I forget my dreams! Swiss cheese for brains I guess!!!

I have lots of tornado dreams and I love them. When I grow up I want to be a storm chaser. I always say I'd like to see a tornado in real life before I die...just as long as it's not mere seconds before I die.

As for triangle monster dreams, those are caused by eating too many Doritos right before bed.

My husband isn't at all interested in hearing about my dreams. Or anything else I have to say.

Your post reminded me that I dreamed about tornadoes last night. How odd.

I usually remember my dreams in the morning and tell hubby about them. He thinks I'm crazy because he has no idea what his dreams were about...

I'm always having crazy dreams lately and I forget them almost as soon as I've woken up.

good to know I'm not the only one having strange dreams.;-) You need to get one of those books that interprets dreams. My sister use to tell me when I was younger that she heard if you dreamed you were falling and didn't wake up, you would die. Creeped me out! Maybe that's why i don't sleep well today? LOL Hope you have a great weekend and pleasant dreams!!!
Blessings,
Jill
