My son could sell snow to Eskimos! He could sell the Brooklyn Bridge to your grandma!
yet I can not even sell Girl Scout cookies to my own mother...
Although I did work at a shoe store once in college and sold womens high heeled jelly shoes in size 11 to a man once... But I think he would have bought them from anyone... So that was not real encouraging.
Today I want to talk about my son's very first experience selling because you have to start somewhere in sales...
It was a fundraiser for school where they send home the packet with the magazine and you're supposed to let your kid go door to door and sell stuff. Ryan was only 5, so we couldn't just set him loose...
Robb went with him and prepped him at the sidewalk of the first house. "Ok, Ryan. When so and so comes to the door, tell them your name, who you're with and then what you're selling."
He stepped up slowly up the walk to the front door of the house, looking timidly back at his dad standing back at the main sidewalk.
He knocked and a woman came to the door.
Ryan said, "Um... Hi... My name is Ryan ##### " and glancing back at his dad for encouragement continued, "and... I'm with my dad."

Great story & memory! Thanks for bringing a smile to my face today!
HA!!!! I'm with my dad. That's awesome.
Did he make the sale?
So about the guy with the jelly shoes..........?
Soooooo adorable!!! :-)
SonyaAnn....I think I know the story of the guy and the size 11 high heeled jelly shoes. I'll fill you in when you grow up....lol
Let's hope Ryan has found his calling in the working world. Salesmen can make crazy loads of money ya know. Just ask my Hubs BF who is a salesman...the guy is loaded. So rich you want to hate him but you can't because he is a great guy.
I'm waiting for Ryan to make his 1st million....shouldn't be long now! ;-)
So did he sell his dad? hehe
I have a son who can sell anything too. When he was younger, his older brothers would pay him to sell various raffle tickets for them because they knew he would be done in half the time it would take them to do it!
